Pipe Crawlers
Crawlers
Using the patented VRAM, the VHC Underwater Crawler boasts surface-independent mobility, no magnets are required. The Crawler has no filters or internal surfaces that can become fouled or contaminated. The VRAM is much more efficient than propellers, generating over 30 pounds of attraction from a single unit.
The Inuktun Magnetic Crawler is a miniature, remotely operated inspection system that has the ability to travel +90 degrees vertically up a steel wall.
If you have special requirements for a custom magnetic crawler we can supply one to meet your needs.

The Nano Mag Crawler is designed to adhere magnetically to metal surfaces ; horizontally, vertically, and even up side down. Effective in areas too small or toxic for human inspection.

These tracked units are precision machined from solid brass, aluminum or stainless steel stock and are fitted with high quality, powerful DC drive motors and vulcanized rubber track belts. Each unit is completely independent of the other, providing the system with excellent steering and maneuvering capabilities.
Microtracs units can be operated individually or as multiple units. Individually powered units and can be easily fitted to a variety of equipment platforms to suit a wide range of applications including video inspection, pipe examination, duct inspection, cleaning and more.
By design, Inuktun's MiniTracs units are small and rugged, providing the user with access to confined spaces and harsh environments. MiniTracs units can be operated individually or as multiple units. Each unit is individually powered and can be easily fitted to a variety of equipment platforms to suit a wide range of applications.
Scissors is a modular unit, incorporating video camera and variable intensity lights. It can be readily integrated with your Inuktun MiniTrac robotic crawler units. This Camera Deployment Mechanism (CDM) raises a pan and tilt camera unit from a minimum height of 41 cm (16 in) to a maximum of 165 cm (65 in).
The VersaTrax 150 is a modular, long range internal pipe inspection system capable of operation within a variety of pipe sizes from a minimum internal diameter of 15cm/6 inches. Extremely powerful, this system is able to penetrate up to 450 m/1500 ft of pipe and overcome obstacles and offset joints.
The Microtrac Vertical Crawler was originally developed for the US Department of Energy. Incorporating three Microtracs in a tripod formation, this vehicle is capable of horizontal and vertical travel in pipes of 8 to 12 in (20 to 30 cm) I.D at maximum speeds of 20 to 30 ft (6 to 9 m) per minute, depending on load.
The Micro Variable Geometry Tracked Vehicle is a compact, durable, remotely powered and controlled video inspection system capable of negotiating obstacles while operating.
The next generation of the VGTV will satisfy customers who need a versatile and portable inspection equipment that can do its work on rough ground, in poor visibility or extreme temperatures, and underwater to depths of 10 meters.
The Urban Search and Rescue system is an ultra-portable solution. It incorporates the Variable Geometry Crawler , a portable control unit, tether cable, (2) battery packs, a DC/AC inverter all packaged in a rugged back-pack.
The IPN pipe examination system was a joint project of NDT Design, Sonic Sensors and Inuktun Services Ltd, and was built for Pacific Gas & Electric. The vehicle was designed to operate in 22 inch natural gas pipe and perform non-destructive examinations of the welds.
The Mobile Disrupter Vehicle is an ideal solution for the disposal of questionable packages.
The Internal Duct Characterization System (IDCS) was designed and manufactured by Inuktun Services Ltd. and ASA Automation Systems Associates to be a durable and reliable pipe inspection system while operating repeatedly in environments which could expose it to various contaminants and temperatures.

Wall Climber Robot fitted with Python Manipulator, HP Pressure Washer & ISL PT60 camera, capable of climbing 50 ft. + on steel surfaces.  This system operates in dry or submerged environments.  Contact Roper Resources Ltd. to discuss your specific robotic application.
